Keep it clean with Greenguard!

Unknown-1

I spent last night watching the BBC series “Planet Earth” with my son Ramsey. The pictures of plants, animals and landscapes reveal a planet worth respecting and honoring. It is with this commitment that we have started the Green Leaf Door business. It is hard to rationalize business as usual, while the dramatic loss of species and their environments continue. There are several institutions committed to helping maintain healthy environments. One such program is the Greenguard institute. The following is a blurb about the program. Please visit their website at www.greenguard.org for more information.

The GREENGUARD Environmental Institute (GEI) was founded in 2001 with the mission of improving human health and quality of life by enhancing indoor air quality and reducing people’s exposure to chemicals and other pollutants. In keeping with that mission, GEI certifies products and materials for low chemical emissions and provides a free resource for choosing healthier products and materials for indoor environments.

We have chosen to use two products that have undergone Greenguard certification. The first is the glue we use to adhere our materials to one another. It is the Lockweld type II glue . It also caries the strict low emmitting Children and Schools standards. The other is one of our recommended finish, Aqualente by ML Campbell.

Agualente is a GREENGUARD Certified, low VOC, non-yellowing, self-sealing, easy sanding, pre-catalyzed water borne clear coating for interior wood surfaces. Agualente lacquer is based on breakthrough European resin technology that produces no hazardous off-gassing during cure. Please visit at http://www.mlcampbell.com/products/agualente

Hope all is well.
